SSCN Athletes Forge Unity on the Road to Kabaale Amid Bus Space Challenges
As the night descends over Soroti, our determined athletes from Soroti School of Comprehensive Nursing (SSCN) are embarking on their journey to Kabaale. However, before the departure, a unique challenge arose that tested their unity and commitment to sportsmanship.

Just days ago, our athletes showcased their exceptional talents at the regional sports competition, leaving an indelible mark on the event. The regional competition, held from August 30th to September 2nd, was a testament to SSCN's commitment to nurturing both academic and sporting excellence.
Volleyball Dominance: In the volleyball arena, our teams demonstrated exceptional teamwork and skill, securing well-deserved gold medals. Their performance seemed like a prelude to what promises to be an electrifying showdown at the nationals. Girls' Volleyball Tenacity: Our girls' volleyball team exhibited unwavering spirit and determination, even though they narrowly missed out on a ticket to Kabaale. Their journey epitomizes the true essence of sportsmanship, and we celebrate their dedication.
Football Powerhouse: On the football pitch, the boys' team proved to be a formidable force, securing victory with their exceptional teamwork and skills. They return as regional champions, primed for success at the national level.
Football's Close Call: In the realm of football, SSCN's team encountered a close call, nearly securing the third position. However, a close examination of points pushed us into the second position, a testament to our team's resilience and determination

Mind Games Mastery: The mind games, including chess, scrabble, draught, and Onweeso, witnessed our students' mental agility. Both our boys' and girls' teams displayed remarkable strategic thinking, earning medals for SSCN.

Handball and Netball Brilliance: Our handball and netball teams also shone brightly, adding to the glory of SSCN. Their skills and teamwork earned them well-deserved recognition.

An Unexpected Challenge:
However, just before the journey to Kabaale began, an unexpected challenge arose. Some players expressed discomfort with the seating arrangements on the bus. Feeling that they were not seated comfortably, a few players decided to move out of the bus. Among those who moved out were some members of the mind games team and some volleyball team members, with the latter feeling that they couldn't play without the others.
A Unifying Moment: In a gesture of leadership, the mind games coach/trainer also stepped out of the bus to speak with his team. At that moment, our athletes faced a crucial decision - to prioritize comfort or uphold the unity and sportsmanship that SSCN stands for. It was a testing moment, but eventually, some returned to the bus, while a few remained outside.
An Annoying Turn of Events:
It's important to note that all team members had initially agreed to make themselves fit on the bus so that everyone could travel together. However, in the pursuit of comfort, about four individuals were left out. Fortunately, with the mind games coach/trainer's return and the realization of the importance of unity, the athletes resolved the issue and continued on their journey.

As our athletes set forth on this remarkable journey, they carry with them not only their sports gear but also the spirit of unity and sportsmanship that SSCN embodies. The nationals in Kabaale will undoubtedly be a challenge like no other, but SSCN is prepared, united, and determined to shine on the national stage.
